Spectating what you need to know – Marsden Cove 2019

Welcome to the round 5 of the NZ Offshore Powerboat Championship proudly brought to you by Mark Cromie Motor Group, Marsden Maritime Holdings, Marine and Engineering Supplies & Marsden Cove Marine on the 13 April 2019.

Steve & Denise welcome the opportunity to host you all at Marsden Cove the locals love having you guys here as well. We have an Easter Carnival in the Marina from 10am-4pm with some of the local business getting involved with fun things for the kids, tug of war for the adults free bbq sausages supplied by G.A.S, Car display and a DJ playing music in the afternoon. We are going to have a quick Offshore Prize Giving for the public to see at 3pm. Their will be a stage set up to the side of the Marine Shop.

Best viewing of the race will be in front of the Marsden Cove Yacht Club which is on One Tree Point road. They will have the bar open from 11am-2pm and will also have food available to purchase while you watch the race. A courtesy van will be available for a gold coin donation so you do not drink and drive. They will also be available to take you home from the prize giving.

RACE DAY PROGRAMME

Saturday 13th April

6.30 am Registration at Marine & Engineering Supplies
Breakfast provided by Steve & Denise at their Marine Shop
Team Tents can be set up at the Marquee.

7.00am Day Entry open

7:30 – 8:45 am Scrutineering

9.00am Day entry Closes

9.30 am Combined Briefing at race truck – teams and Mark & Patrol boats

10.00am Patrol and Marker boats briefing.

1pm Race Start first half hour race
2pm Final race

3pm Prize Giving in the Marina
4pm Fishing Club is open

6-8pm Meals available from Land & Sea you can order from their menu

7.30pm Prize Giving

8.00pm Band – “York Sound “
